“Using Skype and blogs in language teaching” .
Tuija started the session on 19.05.2010 with a short introduction about the way Sastamala was using Skype.
After that Pia presents the German and Swedish course from the view of a teacher.
 I will present  different ways of using Skype with Mikogo.
  • Using skype with Video peer to peer or up to 5 persons
  • Using Skype with up to 10 persons as teleconference

Skypemeeting with Helsinki Seniors

On the 5th of May Hannele, Cecile and I prepared a meeting with
seniors of the institution we visited in Helsinki.
We talked about the time, the way of communication by using mikogo,
about the special room situation and the knowledge of the
particpants. I suggested that every particpant should prepare a short
presentation to introduce him/ herself for example about her/his home,
profession or hobbies.

Ein Kochrezept

Hallo Marlit, Heidi, Uta!
Maire hat uns tatsächlich zu Weihnachten das Rezept vom Kohlrübenauflauf  auf dem Posterous gegeben.
Jetzt habe ich im Internet auch das Rezept für den Karottenauflauf gefunden, das Rezept sieht total richtig aus:

KAROTTENAUFLAUF=PORKKANALAATIKKO

Zutaten:
1 kg Karotten. 150 ml Reis, 150 ml Milch 150 ml Wasser, Salz 50 ml Sahne, 3 EL Sirup ,2 Eier ,Muskat ,Pfeffer, Semmelbrösel, Butter

Zubereitung
Porkkanalaatiko darf in Finnland zu Weihnachten nicht fehlen. Ideal auch zum Einfrieren. Die weichgekochten Karotten
pürieren. Anschliessend in den mit Salzwasser und Milch gekochten,abgekühlten Reis geben, gut verrühren. Die Masse mit Sahne auflockern,
Sirup und Gewürze dazugeben, abschmecken. Die Eier verrühren undbeimengen. In der Gratinform mit Semmelbröseln bestreuen und eine
Stunde bei 175 Grad backen.

SLO im Gespräch mit VHS Sastamala Opisto und Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education - University of Helsinki

Am 11.03 hat  SLO an einem Skype/Mikogo-Treffen mit Sastamala Opisto und dem Palmenia  Centre for Continuing Education an der Universität Helsinki teiilgenommen

  9:30    Feedback of blogs.
  9:45    Short intro to Skype and Mikogo.
10:00   Students' experiences on studying at SCC skype courses. 
10:20   Coffee break.
10:40   Tandem calls on skype. 
11:25   Training Skype.  (demo Mikogo)
11:35    Yhteys Saksaan - This is where either me or Mr Esko Kuittinen from Palmenia, Helsinki University training centre will invite you to a skype conference and give you the Mikogo Session ID. The request for you is quite simple: just introduction and a few words perhaps on SLO and a look at the SLO website with Mikogo (just to show what Mikogo can do and how good the connection can be overseas with Skype. Some of the participants have used skype more or less, some are new with it. Only  few tested Mikogo with me last night.
Note these skypeIDs: Mr Esko Kuittinen:  ekuittinen   AND the teacher's computer in the classroom: aino.opisto

So lief die Sitzung

Solch eine Sitzung  ist immer sehr aufregend und man weiß nie, was so passiert.
Wie aus dem Screenshots zu sehen ist, begann die Sitzung zu viert um 10.38 ( Deutsche Zeit)  und endete nach 18 Minuten. In dieser Zeit zeigte ich über "Google maps " ein Bild meines Hauses und danach Kiel auf der Google-Landkarte. Es wurde eine Websafari auf den Seiten von SLO durchgeführt mit Hinweisen auf zwei Workshops (Onlinekommunikation und 1000 Mikes), danach zeigte ich kurz Bilder zur Demonstration für Reiseberichte, danach die Stimmaufzeichnung über das Programm "Audacity" als Demonstration für Podcasting und Einzelcoaching. Abschließend wiederholte ich nochmal in einer PPT-Präsentation die Arbeitsweise von SLO und die Anregung, doch sich in Deutsch oder Englisch mit uns in Verbindung zu setzen. Tuija übersetzte dabei vom Englischen ins Finnische.
Die Verbindung von Deutschland nach Finnland klappte ohne Schwierigkeiten.Wie aufregend das ganze aber vor Ort war, sieht man aus dem einen Anhang.
